Is this message a scam?

Paste a text message, email or WhatsApp message. We look for the tricks scammers use and check every link in it.

Known scam tricks

“Hi mum, new number”, parcel and delivery fees, blocked bank accounts, DigiD and tax office messages, prizes and crypto offers.

Pressure and requests

Time pressure, payment requests and, most dangerous of all, requests to share a code or password.

Every link

Each website in the message is checked with our website checker: blocklists, domain age, look-alike names.

Shortened links

bit.ly and similar links that hide where they really go.

Questions

Is my message stored?
No. The text is checked and then forgotten. Only the websites it links to are checked and saved like any website check.
The result says “no signs”. Can I trust the message?
Not automatically. Scammers keep inventing new tricks. When in doubt, contact the sender through a channel you already know.
I already clicked or paid. What now?
Call your bank immediately, change passwords you entered, and report it (in the Netherlands to the Fraudehelpdesk and the police).
